• Booking details — your chosen package, preferred session date, and any notes you send us.
• Photographs — images from your session, which we store in your private gallery, and the photos you select.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your payment and the amount, but we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Technical information — basic data your browser sends when you visit our site, such as IP address and browser type, which our hosting provider may record in server logs.

How we use your information

• To respond to booking requests and schedule your session.
• To deliver your private gallery and the photos you purchase.
• To process payments and send receipts and order confirmations.
• To contact you by email or phone about your booking, and by text message if you opt in.
• To operate, secure, and improve our website.
• To comply with legal obligations.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following categories of circumstances:

• Service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting and data storage, image hosting, payment processing (Stripe), and email and text message delivery (Brevo). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Legal requirements — when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of JoySnaps, our clients, or others.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of all or part of our business.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties.

Text messaging

We send text messages related to your booking only if you opt in by checking the SMS consent box on our booking form. Providing a mobile phone number alone does not opt you in. If you opt in, we may send you booking-related text messages as described in our Terms & Conditions. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

Cookies

Our public website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We use a strictly necessary cookie only to keep administrators signed in to our site management area.

Data retention and security

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and gallery links are private and unique to each client. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing smile@joysnapsphotography.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law.

Children’s privacy

Our services are intended for adults booking on behalf of themselves and their families. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Photographs of children are taken only at the request of, and with the consent of, a parent or guardian.
